
How to Use a Thermotex Far Infrared Hood Equine Therapy System
Applying a Thermotex far infrared hood equine therapy system to the sinuses and throat area increases circulation and speeds the healing process. As a result, it is very effective in treating respiratory disorders including horse strangles, sinusitis, and gutter pouch. Ensure the far infrared hood is properly cleaned and disinfected after use to prevent bacterial contamination.
Please read the instruction guidelines below carefully to ensure proper use of your Thermotex far infrared hood equine therapy system.
Step by Step Instruction Guidelines:
- Make sure the animal is secure by tying it up or placing it in cross ties.
- Loosen the halter one or two notches and brush away any dirt away from the head.
- Plug in the hood equine therapy system and place it on the high setting for a few minutes to pre-warm the hood.
- Use the Velcro straps to fasten the equine hood comfortably on the animal.
- Use the hood appliance on the high setting for 10 minutes then turn the heat down to the low setting until the therapy session is complete.
- At the end of the session, disinfect the inside of the hood equine therapy system and allow it to dry thoroughly before storing it in a clean dry place.
- You may want to sponge off the animal’s head after treatment.
Important Safety Instructions
- NEVER use the hood with any liniment, salve or ointment.
- DO NOT leave hood unattended when plugged in and check hide under device frequently.
- DO NOT immerse the hood cover in water. Be sure to remove electrical pads and cord before washing.
- DO NOT hold the cover in place with pins or other metallic objects.
- NEVER use pads unless the outer cover is in place.
- OCCASIONALLY check the white PVC around the heat pads to ensure they remain in good shape. Return any hood cover showing signs of deterioration.
- DO NOT bend or fold the heating element in the hood.
- DO NOT pull the hood cord or use it as a handle.

from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service, for a period of one year
from the date of purchase.

MALFUNCTION OF THE PRODUCT.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so
the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. The Company will not be responsible for
damages or losses, direct or indirect, caused by misuse, abuse, accident, negligence, conditions of
transportation or storage, or failure to follow instruction. The Company will not be responsible for any
statements that are made or published, written or oral, that are inconsistent with this written warranty,
or which are misleading or inconsistent with the facts as published in the literature or specifications
furnished by the Company. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state.
Warranty Claim Procedure: Any product that proves defective within the warranty period will,
transportation charges pre-paid, be repaired or replaced at the option of the Company, free of charge.
